Snagged this one off the Ruger forum last week, Linebaugh built Ruger Bisley 44 mag. Very nice action job, free spin cylinder, barrel shortened to 4 3/4" and re-set so the warning is on the underside, Rough country rear sight and Linebaugh front. Nicely re-blued and grips re-fit and matched expertly to the grip frame. I planned on changing the grips until I held it, now I think I'll leave them alone. Took it for a quick get acquainted session today and it shot better than I hoped. I was worried that the front sight wasnt going to work as it had been picked to regulate for 300 grain bullets. I shoot 240 grain. Not an issue, have not moved the sights at all so far. Only shot about 30 rounds, but I am liking it!! 2 random groups after a few rounds to get used to the trigger. Not bad for a first outing, I think by next fall it will be a hunter. 240 grain Keith style bullets pushed by a healthy dose of AA#9. The underside of the shortened barrel. Its the subtle touches that make the great gunsmiths stand out. You guys have started a bad thing with me...this custom gun thing is gettin expensive!

Think Quality not quantity... And above all else, don't answer the phone when Fermin calls!

YOU of all people warning someone off quantity!! I want both!! I will admit though, after coming here a couple of years ago and reading about some of the fine sixguns you all own, and some of you shoot, I have thinned my collection down to the nicer ones. I am starting to "get it".
As for answering Fermins calls...in my only conversation with him, he said something that has stuck in my head, and it pretty much mirrors what you just said, that I have been thinking about quite a bit. Hmmm, I wonder if he'll answer MY calls?? You guys just keep up your posts and discussions, I'll be the quiet observer over in the corner, soaking up every word. Thanx to Lee for this forum, and for all you regulars that make it what it is. Yall are making a big impression on some of us greenhorns.

Whoa now! I never said anything negative about quantity The idea is that Quality is the #1 factor. After you have considered that ....buy all you can stand to buy!

Hey Axe....Its hard enough to get some guns past the black hole in Alabama, now you want me to send them there??!! Upon further reflection, we may need to do some tradin one day, so I better be nice huh! Ironic that I'm hearing guys suggest weeding out the ones that dont perform and concetrating on quality...I just commited on a saweeeet OM SBH for a steal of a price! I'm just a gun junkie....no 12 step program is gonna fix it either! Not that I want it fixed anyways.....
