Looks nicer than MINE, Giz, and it's never left the country (so far as I know)! Very cool - you have such wonderful stuff that you're so kind to share with us around the interwebz.

gizamo, I have been waiting for you to post pics of that one. I recall it and your fitz from maybe 2 yrs ago on another forum. I was actually just talking to a Vietnam Vet at the range this past weekend and I brought up this gun and what I could recall from its history.
thank you for posting the pics and I wouldn't mind hearing it's history from you again.

I'd like to hear it's history, too. That's obviously one revolver that has definitely been places. On a side note, I'm surprised that propaganda paper is all spelled correctly. Maybe it was written up by Hanoi Jane & the V.C. just copied it off.

Of all the guns in my collection, this little chief's .36 became the most personal. I spent countless hours chasing down the story and it's history. I needed to get it right. The gun has been in the Tunnels at Cu Chi and the others outside of Saigon. Getting folks to testate to the gun was a monumental task. In the end, two very high powered attorneys in the Beltway went to bat for the little gun....as they were both there and knew the owner and the story. The OPs officer at Cu Chi during the period also chimed in. I wrote an article that was accepted and published in Ranger Magazine. You don't bullshit the LRRP's.... giz
