They are all over Gun broker all the time $600 range. I found one on the Gord Board, one on Gunbroker, one in a pawn shop and one on a local classified list. Spare parts and magazines via web searches. And yes, the next one I see, I will let you know. Start buying magazines and ammo ;D

they are easy to find, but i'm sure i'll never buy one off gunbroker. why? if i paid that much for a rifle that was going for half that only a few years ago i.d want to be sure it was a good shooter, didn't have a ground bolt face, had straight sights, etc. and we all know there are no guarantees. for a few hundred more you could buy a PTR91 and have one that is brand new and works with commercial brass. that's why i keep thinking kit.

Be wary of parts kit buildups, I've done a few here and there (M! Garand, Fal, etc.) and the quality of the kits varies a lot, and it's not always getting what you pay for

buy a PTR91 not a bad idea at all. CDNN has 'em for under a grand - choice of 16" or 18" bbl. Their prices for mags/parts is much higher than HKparts.com or RobertRTG, though. -- Br.
