Dear wife handled this one, including the paperwork. Been wanting an original for years but Carbines were hard to find and $$$. I looked at one of the Browning's at a show and thought the quality was fantastic and no knucklehead safety as the new SC Win ones will have. Came with brass, BB and Win factory ammo. Dies are in hand as are Hornady 200's to start. Hope to get out with it after Christmas.

Took it out the day before New Year's with a load I grabbed out of the Hornady manual using IMR-4320, a couple of grains below max with their 200 gr bullet. I was only able to shoot at 50 yards but a consistent 1" was easy. Darn pleased as I have read that the originals were hit or miss with regard to accuracy. I do need to work the trigger a bit though. I am pleased and may just take it elk hunting if I draw this year.

Santa was good to you this year. I have the rifle version of the Browning 71...the action is like glass. I think you'll enjoy it. -Lee www.singleactions.com
