springfield-armory.primediaoutdoors.com/SPStoryMicro1911.phpI had a customer come in yesterday looking to sell the EMP ($900) and a Two-tone xdm ($550). He also had a SS Colt Delta Elite ($700) that was in good shape but someone had mirror polished EVERYTHING and it was a little too pimped out for me. My first experience with the EMP and I was really impressed with this little gun. Two tone 40 Cal night sites and 2 holsters. Offered him $50 less for a package on the springfields and he walked. After doing a little more research on the EPM, I might do a followup. Anyone have any experience with these?

I just bought one and shot it for the first time yesterday. I put 200 rounds of HB through it without one failure of any kind. I have read it is very particular about JHP rounds, so I'll try some of those next. I was surprised at how well it handled. Mine is the 9mm. I was only able to shoot at 25 yards at wasn't impressed with the accuracy, but that's a bit far for that little gun anyway. Overall I really like it.

Colt had a mirror finish in the '80s called "Ultimate Bright".
The name said it all. It was really really bright. No idea if they did Deltas in it-I sold a couple in the day, a Python and a Gold Cup.

Looked just like this www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=131392351So it very well could have been factory. If it were a gold cup, I would have been able to post pics cuz I would have snagged it. For the money, I actually liked it, but knew I'd never be able to show it to anyone. It just needed some of the fancy engraving to qualify it as the ultimate pimp daddy gun.

Yeah the EMPs are tricky, most people that we sell them too (been geting a lot of first time buyers as of late) bring it back and tell us it won't feed, then we look at their ammo laugh at them, and hand them a box of Winchester JHPs and tell them to shoot that

Any ball, but we have had good luck in any EMP we've sold with the Winchester JHPs (did I mention White box?) namely the white box stuff first and foremost, followed by their defensive loadings, just make sure they're somewhat rounded in nose shape so they don't hang up on the feed ramp, the 115grn (?, I don't shoot a lot of nine mil myself so I'm not real super sure, but it's the lighter of the 2 loadings) has enough roundness to it to run well out of the box
