Always picked up a ss Bisley grip frame ,trigger and hammer from midway. They have been changing the back ordered status for almost a year. Well now the update states" discontinued by manufacture". Bad news!

I contacted Ruger last month and I got the impression they had them.

Hey Whitworth ;D after I checked the Midway website I gave Ruger a call,I just hung up and here's the skinny. The nice lady said that the SS Bisley grip frame will have to be fitted at the factory while the "in the white" frame still shows as available to be sold as a part Crazy huh.

So I guess my question becomes then, can you send a ss SBH back to Ruger and they would convert it to ss Bisley? I am looking for a ss Bisley for a conversion.

Seems like the Bisley parts in general ( hammers, triggers, and grip frames) dried up a couple of years back. Even when they were readily available after converting and paying to have a few Blackhawks converted to Bisley I learned to buy every local factory Bisley I could find and afford.. Without unlimited funds I found that this gave me the most bang for my buck.

Power Custom had stainless Bisley kits last week and now I can't find them on their website.

I'm down to my last SS kit after the 500 Max. Like many of you, I should've stocked-up more when Brownells carried them. But luckily, Hunter models are plentiful on Gunbroker. If you're doing a full custom, that's probably the best model to start with for a SS Bisley. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Yeah, looks like we all got lulled into a false sense of security on the Bisley conversion parts. May be time to stock up on some steel parts before they go the way of the stainless parts.. The big question will be how many part sets does one man need? 10? 20? 30? If I live to be 100 I might need more. If I only make it to 60 I've only got 11 months. Two or three might get me by!
