So I was flipping through the channels last night and came across a movie "The Joneses", as in "keeping up with the Joneses". It's about a family that gets placed in an affluent neighborhood and manufacturers supply all the new toys; tv's, lawn mowers, jewelry, cars, golf clubs, etc.
They show off all these neat toys knowing that the surrounding people can't help but go out and try to buy all the things that they see other people enjoying..... Then it dawned on me.
AXEHANDLE IS WORKING FOR THE GUN COMPANIES
It has to be. Before I started reading these forums and looking at his pictures I was happy with my small modest collection. He has corrupted my thoughts so that I fall asleep dreaming of customs, barrel bands, big bores and 22's.
I don't even know the guy but if I see a thread started by him I start thinking about how deep my slush fund is before I even open the page!
Now that I've called him out he'll probably move on to another forum (in the movie they just move on to new towns) and come up with a new handle. Corrupting people with pictures of Turnbull lever actions or something. (actually, I should see if there are any of those on GB)
All I can say is thanks, my collection grows as my bank account shrinks. I hope they are paying you well, or at least I hope you get to shoot those things once and a while.
ps. I wonder if those are really even his toes? ;D
