Does anyone know who makes replacement grips for the Cattlemans? I know these are a one piece design from the factory but it doesn't matter to me if they are one or two piece I'm just having a hard time finding any at all.
Also if you have any links for cheap 45LC ammo online you could post that up as well......

Sack Peterson ( www.sackpeterson.com/ ) shows custom grips for the Ubertis. Klamathriver does I think ( www.klamathriverwoodworks.com/home.html ) Both of these are custom grips but Klamath does have kits available. If all you want is factory type replacement grips you can try VTI (https://www.vtigunparts.com/ ) They stock OEM parts for Ubertis and others. For cheep .45 Colt ammo, I don't know of any source other than loading your own. Joe

As suggested, you can't go wrong with Sack Peterson. TruIvory also makes one-piece Uberti grips. -Lee www.singleactions.com

You may want to check your Uberti. I have two and neither of them have a placement stud for two piece grips.

Thank you for the compliments fellas.
They come from the factory set up with one piece walnuts, and that has limited the ways in which the aftermarket can provide cool grips for the Uberti’s. Rather than contemplate the drilling of alignment pins and what not, I build them in two panels and a screw, but with a center block to maintain the alignment.
They work good that way. There are the usual words of caution about manufacturing tolerances for the grip straps, but I haven’t really encountered any problems with this.
I'll put up a decent picture shortly.

Thanks for the replys!
I read this on your website, "Specifically, these will fit the Cimarron P, Taylor Smokewagon, and Beretta Stampede with steel grips assemblies (not brass)".
I have the Uberti Cattleman Hombre with brass back strap. Is there anything you can do for me?

I update my site about twice a year it seems. At this point I have Uberti's brass straps, their steel london straps, and their Bisley assembly. I should be able to do them all.

Rather than contemplate the drilling of alignment pins and what not, I build them in two panels and a screw, but with a center block to maintain the alignment. Interesting. I always wondered why a two-piece stock couldn't be made to fit a non-pinned trigger guard in this way. Likewise, why a one-piece stock couldn't have an unobtrusive slot milled in each side from the bottom to where the pin sits in a pinned trigger guard, so the stock would slide down the pin and all that would show when assembled would be a small hole on either side of the bottom of the stock where it meets the trigger guard. That way one-piece and two-piece stocks could be switched at will regardless of whether the grip frame was pinned or non-pinned.
