Now this is just a thought. Since you build some of the most neat guns that only the Martin family gets to shoot ........and Whitworth ;D ;D. Would you build your banded barrels and sell them to individuals to be installed by their gunsmith? hmmmmmmmm??

Thanks for the compliment. We really don't have any interest in doing gun work as a business....even barrel blanks. For one, it's a quick way to go broke. We use Pac Nor blank which isn't cheap. By the time we contour it we're quite a few $$$'s into material cost and man hours. -Lee www.singleactions.com

I handled Lee's .500 Max yesterday and was impressed to say the least. Lee and his dad do great work. Can't wait to shoot it!

One could probably pay Pac-nor to make you one. They make great barrels, offer contouring including custom profiles, and fit barrels to actions. They may or may not but it would not seem a great stretch. Ask...

Pac Nor could probably contour the band. You'd still have to thread the barrel shank so it mates flush with the ejector housing though. If you have the skill to do the latter, you should be able to lathe the band itself. It's really not that hard. -Lee www.singleactions.com
