Deer Season

Its winding down for me a mixed bag. Gracie my 10 year old got her first Deer, a nice buck (posted in the youth hunt thread). I did not get one to walk in front of my Pop despite sitting him at the edge of a some hard hit turnips and white clover in a good runway. I did manage to collect this little guy saturday.

Good job! How about some details on your gun and load.

That pistol is a Ruger 45 Colt. Bowen performed his Nimrod package to it so its a 5 shot. The grips are Elk Horn by Patrick Grasshorn. The loads are a wheel wieght cast 340 grain WFN from a LBT mold dropped into cold water. I used LBT blue in a Star sizer. Using Lil'gun to get to about 1200 FPS in Starline brass.
