Are the EAA Bounty Hunters any good? Quality wise I mean, compared to Uberti?

From what little I've messed with them, EAA's are bigger and the actions are not as smooth as Uberti's They have a transfer bar safety like New Model Ruger's which IMO gives the action a different feel. Here's a fairly decent article about them. www.gunblast.com/Paco_WineRoses.htm

EAA quality is sort of hit or miss. Most of the Bounty Hunters I've held are fairly well fit. Every now and then you hear about one being a little "off". Timing seems to be the common complaint. For the price though, you can't go wrong if you get to inspect the gun prior to purchasing. -Lee www.singleactions.com

just checked a new one for a friend. fit an finish was really nice. timing was spot on. lockup was tight. then I checked the throats......its a 45 colt......throats were finished at .458!!! I emailed the importer with my concerns with no response. Really disappointed at this being sent out by German mfg.

Thanks for the input folks. Seems I've found more dislikes than likes so, I'll stick with Ubertis. I am thinking of getting an 1858 New Army Conversion in the .38 special. Looks to be a fun gun to shoot.
