Guess I should play it safe and run it by the Missus to get her opinion too!!! ;D
Still like to hear your thoughts.
FYI: Here's my current .45 Ruger line-up (if it helps)...
'72 OMBH at Mr. Clements being perfected. NMBH Stainless 4-5/8' w/ blk CLC grips. NMBH Blued convertible 7.5" (this may go now that the Lipsey's is available).
Also have the two 4-3/4" Rodeos, NIB Colt Cowboy 4-3/4" and a EAA Bunty Hunter 4-3/4".

Be certain by purchasing one and putting the other on lay away. Better to be dead sure!

What are you going to do with them? If shooting heavier bullets, I would sure go for the stainless. For whatever reason, Ruger pins the stainless sights so you can get a taller blade for that gun, but the blued are a solid setup and soldered on. I have to get a new sight on my .45 because it is hitting about 8 inches high at 25 yards with the heavier loads and bullets. Anyway, just a thought from the new guy. Jeff

They do say in the ad that they have put taller front sights on the weapon.

I'll probably just shoot 250-265grainers around 1000fps. Just wanted a lighter Ruger SA since they are now available. I'm probably going to go stainless (Wife likes it better) and my stainless NMBH will be going to Mr. Harton for a longe S&W barrel install next year, so that helps with the decision.
Still not 100% sure though.
PS - My 4-5/8 stainless NMBH shoots waaay high too, so instead of changing the blade, I thought what the heck....let's just swap the whole barrel!!! It will be my winter hunter when It's too wet for the CCH/Blued Clements.

True, I saw that and it would help.
In mine, if you shoot the .45 ACP or light Cowboy loads and then .45 LC +p with a nice heavy load, say 300+ grn at 1100 FPS there is not enough adjustment in the rear to allow both of those to be POA at POI with the same front blade.
Anyway, just my experience. If I did not have mine already, I would be all over that stainless!

Stump Buster, I had never thought of changing the whole barrel.....LOL
When I am rich and famous, I might get a gun for light loads and one for heavy, that way they are always ready to go and sighted in.

Since its your money I must agree wth 2 Dogs and patdaddy!!!! You guys are ALL HELP!!! Yeah, a year or two ago, I probaby woulda, but I'm trying to temper things down a bit. The exception is that I've been hoping THIS model was on the way for a few years now, that's why my dealer has been holding the funds for almost a year now!!! Hopefully, I made it on the list today!!! THANKS for the replies and the help!!! Mathmatically it looks like I went with the trend here and more importantly, I went with the Wife's preference!!! All The Best, Stump
