Fluted Bisley 44? Where? In the safe... I think this 44 Bisley Hunter was sitting on to of it! ;D This Bisley Hunter, unlike my 41 and 45, has been to Jim Stroh for Taylor Throating. Stroh also installed one of the Ron Power fancy, click like a OM, hammer trigger sets. The previous owner kept those parts. I have replaced them so the gun matches the build sheet.

How about a Bowen 55' flattop converted to .44 Special with a set of Ivories and a Bisley hammer from Kings6.

Well, here is my "not so ordinary" Ruger .44 Lipsey Special with Red Dog Leather: These are some of the best revolvers to come out of the Ruger Factory, IMO... Dale53

Not many 44's left. Several former guns have been shown by other members. Three old model 7 1/2" flat top 44's moved from Oregon to other members this last year along with a few others. These few still live here in one form or another though. This is a NIB unfired TLA Improved #5 that found it's way here recently. This is a Clements bisley with octagon barrel and elk grips that David browned rather than blued. It has the long cylinder from a 357 max that was rebored. This is an old model 357 flat top John Gallagher converted to an octagon barrelled 44 Special with a brass gripframe. It wears black micartas in the picture but it is at Roy Fishpaws right now getting who knows what on it! This started as a 6 1/2" flat top that Jim Stroh whittled down to 5 1/2" and did a few other things to. The grip frame and grips now live with Gunslinger hang in LA and as soon as Powers gets their next batch of gripframes done it it goes back to Jim for a 2 piece steel grip frame with ivory grips.

A good example of how not to take a picture. Top: US Arms Abilene(Riverhead gun), middle Ruger Super with Pvt. Shultz grips, Bottom: 1961 era Ruger Flat Top that has been in the family since it was bought new.
