I took out my daughter for the Missouri youth hunt Saturday. We had just gotten in near the edge of a couple acres of turnips I planted back in August. Gracie handled the 30/30 pretty wells she just turned 10. My turn this weekend. I'll be toting my Bowen Nimrod in a Ringler cross draw with a 335 lbt wfn at 1200 fps. I'll also have my Ruger No. 1 in 45/70 in case I want to strech out the range a bit. My Pop is coming over to hunt and he'll probably have his Bowen 44 special flatop.

Man....what a nice deer! What part of the state? We're just north of KC....two of the young hunters took deer. An 8 point and a doe.
Tell your daughter congrats!!

Bob- I'm a few miles south of Fulton. What a blessing this place has been. Beatiful rock cliffs, three creeks, and enough bottom ground to play farm. I just traded my old Ford 8N for this "new" Deere that my wife's grandfather bought new in 1960.
