There certainly were some real "doozies" back in the days..... As stated above, the "original" grips would have been the black ones. The walnuts were offered as "accessories" and were NOT Factory installed on the early Flattops. Carl

I kind of like plastic stag. Reminds me of the old westerns from the 1950's. They have their place. Always liked them on the older H and R's and Iver Johnson 22's. Remember alot of old men that had a pistol like that on the desert for kicking around. Stick em on the floor board or in the trunk and let em rattle around....no worries! Congrats on the new Flat Top....very fine pistols.

Good eye. Yes it is a Safariland, and the previous owner threw it in our trade. Too bad its wrong(right) handed. Beautiful holster though, I'll just wear it Hickok style on my left side!
