I picked up this Cimarron Thunderer .45LC with 3.5" barrel and did not notice 'til after I got it home that the firing pin looks to be hitting the top of the entry hole before striking the primer . Am I in any danger shooting it this way? Can the hammer be tightened up to fix this?

Mine was doing the same thing, I filed a slight amount from the top of the firing pin, no problem since.

My AWA pin was hanging up a little when re cocking. I just opened the top of the hole a bit with a dremel

I would do GSP7's mod. Safest bet would be to use a rat-tailed (round) file and do the same thing by hand. Opening up the frame hole a tad won't hurt anything, but filing on the firing pin might weaken it just a bit.
This is a simple enough fix that I wouldn't send it back to Italy to deal with!

...filing on the firing pin might weaken it just a bit. ...and it might start piercing primers too.
