picked this one up for 325$, looks like new [except for the grips], and tried it out last evening. really accurate with 240s and with 300 gr fairly hot loads. shot both loads into 2" groups at 20 yds , which is probably as good as my eyes can do anymore! i think this may become my favorite 44 woods companion!

My 4 5/8 magoloy Abilene with my herters 44 I made new grips for. Looks like yours has the heavy profile barrel too

nice abilenes here! i only have the one other US Arms, a riverhead gun, with aftermarket engraving. it is also a 44 magnum, and like the short one, shoots amazingly well. these i am hanging on to.
