I had this on lay-a-way for a week and finally paid it off today, it is actually very nice, it has about 90% bluing and the grips are a beautiful rosewood, the cylinders are all recessed and the trigger is scary light, i removed the cylinder with ease and inspected the barrell, its like the day it was made, i removed the grip and noticed it has a leaf spring, i removed a little bit of surface rust with 4/0 steel and oiled everything up real nice, i cant wait until tomorrow when i try it out on the range with various loads, pghrich

Hawes are neat old guns. Very tight, strong shooters, and the ones I've worked with are pretty damn accurate. Sauer & Sohn always produced a quality single-action. Some may not like the look of Hawes, Herters, Hy Hunters, etc, but they were built to last. I'd also like to see pictures if you're able to post them. -Lee www.singleactions.com
