.22 Single-Sixes are hit and miss in the accuracy department...no pun intended. I own several and all of them are different in regard to accuracy. There is much experimentation to be done with ammo and the like. Having shot tractor trailer loads of .22 bullets over the years, as well as having cut my teeth on a 1957 SS, I can tell you there are those will will shoot well and those that leave something to be desired. Paco's bullet tool will help with some issues experienced, but is by no means a cure all. I had the barrel sleeved on a 4-5/8" OM SS that now shoots well enough to remain in the stable. Many years ago I had Ben Forkin modify a Shootist Bisley .22 that was very poor accuracy wise. He sleeved the barrel with a Pac-Nor air gauged match blank...sleeved the chambers and linebored...action job...base pin...custom 4-gold bar patridge front sight...absolutely scary accurate with a variety of ammunition now.

1 1/2" 25 yard groups - especially 18 shot groups - aren't that shabby! My first Single Six was a pattern thrower. Always was. Didn't matter what I shot in it. One short stay with Alan Harton turned it into a WTF!? shooting little sixgun. Nothing magical. Just his fine tuning of all the basic things like trigger, chambers and crown. And I don't even have to find one of my Paco Tools to make it shoot!

I have shot a few more kinds of ammo in it since and found more that will go under 2". But my MKII will shoot some of the same ammo to .75" and the wolf will often do .5, but I can't always make it do it. This is a 5.5" MKII Target model with factory sights and trigger. I only took out the overtravel with the factory set screw and have fired uncounted bricks of ammo through it over the past 13 years. It goes on every range trip.
For the Bisley I dug through my big box of .22 ammo and chose only those that measured .224" or bigger. CCI Blaser was 2nd place @ just under 1.5" for 12 shots with Eley High Velocity very narrowly beating it for more than twice the price. The gun is an older fluted, drift sight Bisley and the Eley is the only one that shot perfect for elevation. The others were all low by at least an inch @25yds. That Eley HV has some pop to it!
