I have to admit that 26.0gr of H110 and a 375gr LRNPB was not nearly as nasty as I was expecting it to be. The Chrono read 1325fps and the target had some nice little groups in it, I am going to have to try a max load in 475 brass now you know..

Go for it, I about always load max, near max, or a little above max (once I've determined my gun is going to take it and it's not showing any signs of pressure) for my personal loads, but I can't recommend loading over max in a Reeder gun

What I will shoot for a cylinder or two is not the same as what I will shoot for 99% of the time. I have found that the best way to make my 338 seem reasonable to shoot (it is tough with a 7 pound 338 and 230gr bullets) is shoot my uncles 450 Nitro Express first!
I generally stick to loads that run sub sonic and don't beat me up with muzzle blast or recoil, even when hunting. But everyonce in a while you just have to climb on that bull and see if it will through you...

My practice load for my Harton 475 Linebaugh is a 375 gr at 1100 fps.My practice load for the 475 Max is about the same,I see NO reason to abuse me and the gun at the same time ;D

As a guy who has never gone to Africa to hunt, I've always wondered...what do you guys do with the animals you kill? Donate them to some tribe? Pack 'em in the suitcase & bring 'em home? ;D

Yep, packed in my carry-on luggage We ate a lot of the antelope meat, the meat we did not consume was donated to villages, nothing went to waste. I am not sure if the warthog I shot was eaten. I assume it was eaten by the villagers, don't know for sure. The bushbusk, mountain reedbuck and springbok antelope were very good eating. Obviously I had a great time and had been wanting to go ever since I was young enough to dream about it. Sean

.... The load was a 405gr WFNGC at 1500 fps ....Sean I believe that safely covers the 'use enough gun' rule. ;D
