I did a lot of thinking recently and tried to figure out why I didn't shoot one of my favorite 22 pistols more often. It hit me that I didn't have a good holster for it so it really never left the house with me when I was out doing nothing in particular. So I decided to fix that. A quick call to Rob Leahy at Simply Rugged was in order. I had seen a holster that he made for a good buddy (Jeff Hoover) here on the forum and I was really impressed with the look and quality. As I looked it over, I commented to Rob who happened to be standing there how much I liked it. So, it was an easy decision as to what the type would be. We decided on a new design of his current Range Master. He also planned to use crocodile hide on it to accent the piece. The rest, I left up to him and told him to surprise me. It arrived today and is more than I could have hoped for. The fit is perfect. When you put it on your belt, it handles the weight so well, that you barely can tell you have the gun on the hip. Drawing the gun from the holster is so smooth and effortless thanks to the perfect placement for your thumb on the backside of the holster to aid in the draw, you would think you have been breaking it in for years. The fit is perfect on this little Ruger with absolutely no looseness when the gun is nestled into it. Rob did a nice basket stamp pattern on the lower portion of the holster and it really looks great. My picture taking skills do the holster no justice but I wanted to take some to share. If any of you are in the market for a new holster, give Rob's line a look. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer guy to do business with and he puts out a very high quality product that will exceed your expectations.
