That is a beautiful Colt.
There is something about the early second generation guns that really scratches that itch for me.
I have the 4 3/4 .38 Special version of your Colt, and now I'm getting its twin in 45LC. It may be that there are better made guns out there, guns that can stand up to hotter loads or that will hold a tighter group. USFA makes a fine gun as does Colt with the current 3rd generation SAAs. But for my money, I'll buy a second generation any day of the week. Can't put a finger on it, but whether it is a 1911 or a SAA, there is just something special about the guns Colt was putting out in the 50's.
