My best friend has someone trying to buy his Garand from him. It was left to him from his Dad. Its a Springfield, believe its parkerized. Has grenade launcher. Ballpark figure, what do these things go for ? He's looking for an honest everyday price to ask for. steve b

Locally Mis sell for 799 for an average condition gun. Look at CMP.com for a better understanding of prices.

I just paid $400.00 for a CMP garand we took in on trade. I guess thats just one of the benifits of working at a pawn shop. ;D

It was actually a trade in which we were able to alter some figures. We both came out ok. It is just a rack grade CMP rifle, but the Springfield receiver is of WWII era. Now that the M1 Garand bug has bitten I have discovered there is a ton of info out there. I am hoping to get a service grade or correct grade H&R from the CMP latter on this year. A friend has a very nice International Harvester worked over by Hook Boutin I could trade my DPMS LR AP4 for. I know the DPMS would be easy to replace, but it is one of my favorite rifles.

Hope you're enjoying the Garand Boge...I tried to get dad to spot me a couple of cool sixguns and rifles, but he said he had to make sure you Quinn boys had what they needed/wanted before he could commit to doing so!:-0) Take care brother.
