I have seen were Freedom arms in having some financial difficulties , While they have the best reputation for customer service this makes me hesitant to send in revolvers for barrel changes or additional cylinders in Fear that if there doors were forced closed it could create a long delay in the return of firearms . Are my fears unjustified ?

I'd think that all small manufacturers experience significant ups and downs through the years. As FA fans the best thing that we can do is keep on buying FA.

I'm buying as many FA's guns as I can, but like you I'm a little worried about sending them any of my guns right now. I think I will just wait a few months on any factory work. I'm hoping there just playing the game after losing a 300,000.00 lawsuit, I would like to see there in stock list with something in stock. I hate to say it, but unless they do something in regards to there trigger lawsuit there days are numbered.

None of my FA's need any work done but if they did I wouldn't hesitate to send one in. They are a class act and this may be the best time to send some business their way.

I sent my M83 Field Grade .454 Casull back last month and had the factory fit an extra .45 ACP cylinder and a new set of black micarta grips. They turned it around in less than two weeks and even serviced my revolver when they had it. Freedom Arms is a great little company that makes the best revolvers available.

I had work done on 2 guns in June. Everything was returned within 2 weeks. FA haters and Internet Idiots love to stir up as many non-problems as they can.

So what was wrong with their triggers that they lost a lawsuite?

I don't believe you have to lose a lawsuit to be over burdened with legal fees.

So what was wrong with their triggers that they lost a lawsuite? Accidental discharges. FA warns not to keep a live round under the hammer, but there's always some idiot out there that knows better.

I talked to F/A today. John was very helpful in diagnosing my problem (broken trigger return spring). They are sending the improved action and trigger springs out tomorrow (mine is an older model 97). I know it's not the same as sending one in, but I wouldn't worry about it.
If I could afford it, I would send mine in for some customization.

I would not hesitate to order a FA paid in full up front right now. Things will sort themselves out eventually...
