Took some video while out flying yesterday. This is a lap in the pattern at Kansas City Downtown airport in the Super Cub.

I enjoyed seeing this video. I used to fly a new Super Cub back in 1975. It was great fun, and was my idea of what flying should be. I was a lot more agile and less fat back then.

Glad you enjoyed it Dave! I have posted a few others on yourtube and will be posting more in the future. I am half owner of this Super Cub. She is a 1953 with a few STCs. 135HP, 26" tundra tires, vortex generators, gross weight increase and a few others.
I am flying down to Ft. Smith, Ar over the 4th of July weekend and hope to get some nice video going over the mountains. Check on youtube for other and future vids. Same screen name as here

My office used to be there in Riverside which was quite a drive from South Overland Park in the morning traffic. There were many times that I wished I had a plane down here at the Johnson County airport which is about 1 mile from my house and then I could jump up to the downtown airport. Would have to be faster than sitting in the parking lot on 35 in the morning

Dmize, That might be a bit much. With you plus me, would have to drain some fuel to keep us within weight limits, and you probably would not be very comfortable.
since the last video caught some interest, here is another one. This is a landing on the grass at Excelsior Springs, Mo.

the grass area next to the paved runway at Excelsior is actually a second runway. I land on grass any time that I can for a few reasons: less wear on the tires-the Super Cub wears 26" tundra tires. They are 10" wide and only carry 12lbs of pressure. They bounce easily on pavement or concrete and also wear much faster, and the dang things ain't cheap. That and there is just something very right about landing a bush plane on grass rather than pavement...lol
Thinking about talking with my partner in the airplane about going back to standard tires. Will pick up some cruise speed and can always put the tundras on if one of us is going someplace that they would be needed.
