OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the single most hideous looking revolver I have EVER seen!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really dont think a person like you could withstand the ribbing and snubbing thats going to come from being seen with that thing. PM me and i will send you MY address to save you the humiliation. SERIOUSLY, That is a beautiful piece of equipment, and MOST importantly it is exactly what YOU want.

I'm usually not big on Gary's engraving, but the gold accents give good contrast. Had a chance to shoot it yet? -Lee www.singleactions.com

Lee, Gary posted my gun yesterday on his website, I pulled one of the pictures he posted and haven't even held it yet, it was funny I was ordering my TREX from him and he told me he had blued this one over the week-end and would finish it in a day or so and to keep an eye on his board, I also picked up a 4 5/8" FAs 83 within an hour of that phone call, talk about a fun day!

That engraving looks good since it is gold filled. It would be nice if he made the letters and numbers smaller though. Are the grips micarta?

Yaa, he has that size lettering in his paperwork for the feds so thats one thing he can't change, he uses Corian, so it doesn't have the layers, CaryC pointed out that white Micarta is a lot more costly and I would bet that is why he used Corian, but it seems to hold up well I have it on a couple of hard kicking guns without so much as a scratch, Gary told me he's never seen one brake.

Reeder makes his front site, he calls it his Interchangeable Front Sight Blade System, it looks just like a FA's setup. I really don't know who copied who on that one, Gary has been doing a gripframe that looks just like FA's rounded gripframe for years now. JRH was doing up short SRH's that look like Rugers Alaskan before Ruger ever had an Alaskan model. Good things get copied, kinda like an old #5.

I'm thinking your wrist is going to be hurting. I passed on one of his .44 Special El Diablos at a gun show earlier this year because it had someone's name on it. I wish I had bought it. I admit I am not a fan of all of his work, but seeing and handling an El Diablo in person really changed my mind about that model. Very nice gun.

Got out and shot this one today, at 46ozs its pretty lite, funny thing is it fills heavier than my other Reeder built 6" .500Linebaugh which comes in at 48ozs, guess its a balance thing fills alot like my Linebaugh built 475 with 5.5" barrel, anyway the express sites on this thing lines up fast should be a good "o'crap" gun, I'm really liking the half inch bores and need more ;D ;D ;D.
My favorite length so far is the 6" but I've only tried a couple of lengths, so much more testing is needed.
O let me tell you, the pictures don't do it justice, it looks so much better in person.

Forgot to mention shooting was very informal rock busting and it seems to have minus of rock type accuracy.

My 500's see a lot of reduced loads too. With a 400 - 440 grain bullet, it doesn't take a lot of velocity to knock the hell out of stuff. -Lee www.singleactions.com
