Thank all of you who participated SO MUCH!!! ;D ;D ;D
Im very proud to be part of this forum and am finally ready to offer a report. We were doing very well, checks big and small coming every day. Then, I spoke with one of our forum members who insists I do not reveal his identity, but you ALL know him, who on top of all the money we collected DONATED an entire Ruger Bisley 44 special flattop NIB. No, I aint tellin' ya'll who it is cuz I was forced to give my word not to, but look around you because you are part of some of the greatest folks on the planet.
So, now we not only got a new Ruger Flattop 44 special (some of us call it a Callshot Special), but we also raised 700 US dollars. Enter my friend Rob Leahy. Rob, who knows our chosen Wounded Warrior, found out that when our Hero received his wounds in action, he had a Colt Commander on his hip that stopped a big chuck of shrapnel. Of course the Colt was pretty badly damaged and lost. The good news is, Rob has pulled some Colt strings and we have a replacement in the works that is fully paid for due to your genorosity and good heart.
Mike Barranti has a couple of photos that if I can tear him away from his work bench for a minute I'll get him to post.
Final Zip code list, apparently one of the checks got lost enroute, but if you dont see your zip here, let me know.
65052, 80921, 59714, 83646, 15068, 71040, 38001, 84088, 74056, 80465, 37335, 94028, 86304, 59701, 97053, 35748, and 78413.
While we cant possibly do this sort of thing for every one of our young men, Im quite sure this young man will be overwhelmed with joy. Thank you all again, you have my enduring respect!
