Located one of these not long ago.
Pretty heftu and all the balance of a crowbar, but I am intrigued by it.
Question -- aren't these supposed to be plagued by having too-large cylinder throats and consequent lack of accuracy?
I'd like to know before putting down any money on it.

Most are oversized but both of my 45 Virginians are fairly accurate. Not world class, but they're sound shooters. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Scribe,
I can't speak for all of them but I had a 5" (?) .45 Colt and the chamber throats in it were so huge no accuracy was possible. If I'd kept it I would have eventually hunted down a .44 Mag cylinder and had it properly chambered and throated. These Virginian Dragoons are hell for stout and really good guns when all the specs line up.

Should have been more specific -- the gun in question is a Virginian Dragoon -- stainless, 7.5 in. barrel, adjustible sights.
Still muliing it over.

If the seller will let you take some bullets of known diameters up to .459" and try them in the cylinder. If they are much over .454" you're looking at an iffy cylinder. Joe
