I checked out a book a couple years ago from the local library and I want to read it again but can't find it and the library keeps no records of my book loan history. I've tried googling it of course and a search at amazon and abe books was no help. The book is about a guy in fairly recent years [1980's maybe?] who rides a horse from Mexico to Alaska or vice versa and back. He follows highways a lot and meets a lot of interesting people along the way who help him with various things including accomidations. Has anyone read this book? Can you remember the title? Thanks in advance. Jeff

My memory aint what it used to be but I seem to recall the guy in the story was an ex-forest ranger or ex-fish and game type guy.
