I'm looking for a small 22LR auto-loader. Hopefully something that will feed the 22RF reliably & have a set of sights that can actually be seen. I have been keeping my eyes open for an old Star Model F or one of the miniature 1911 styled Llama's but have not had any luck finding one.
What else is out there that might fit the bill?
Thank you ~JM~

Lots of people around here have the Walther P22. Not sure it classifies as a pocket pistol, but I haven't heard much bad about them.

The Walter P22 ROCKS!! It is totally reliable, accurate and has very good sights. It is fix sighted with interchangeable front sights for sighting it in.

JM we talked about the Beretta 21A but I should have mentioned my favorite "Kit Gun" a S&W 2213" It is a 4" flat alloy receiver with S&W's excellent adjustable sights 12 plus 1 rounds and easily obtainable spare magazines. My daughter is trying to pry this away from me, like every other .22 I bring home;-) it is accurate reliable and very easy to pack along. S&W offered a very compact version of this as well. I found this one off of a local want ad.

Our only "pocket .22lr", is my wifes J-frame SW317. Ultralight. Kinda nice. Had a P-22, kinda toy-like. Lacking in quality. steve b

What about a Walther PP or PPK? Hard to find in 22 and lots of $$$$, but great quality, accurate and classy.

My problem with the P-22, was screws stripping out. I had the longer barreled one with the "compensator" on the end. It wouldn't stay in place. To me, in general, it felt toy-like, and I don't mean because its small and has polymer amongst its components. My opinion. Hope yours, and all the others, run well for many yrs.. Have a nephew with one. steve b

These IJ are very accurate , well made , never jam and sell for around $125 used . This is the only flat bottom mag I've seen for the IJ. Do you know if it came w/gun, or maybe aftermarket? I have a couple of TP22's myself & think they are great. Getting hard to find though.

That Iver Johnson looks like what I'm after. I did locate a Star Model "F" that followed me home the other day. It won't fit in any normal sized pocket though.
