I have a Ruger Super Black Hawk Hunter with a standard grip frame.
Can I use the Bisley grip frame off of a Ruger Vaquero to convert my gun to a Bisley Hunter?
Is the Bisley Vaquero grip frame the same as a stock Bisley hunter grip frame?
Both guns are stainless steel if that makes a difference.

okee, welcome to the forum. You can definately use a bisley grip frame from a vaquero.........HOWEVER, there will mostly likely be slight fitting asthetic issues. such as where the top of the grip frame mates up with the cylinder frame. it's most likely the ears of the grip frame will be slightly taller or shorter than that of the grip frame. there may also be a slight width difference. if the differences are in the right direction, folks who know they're doing can fit a grip frame to a gun............. I'm not one of those folks . ~c.r.

It's a swap worth trying. You should get a Bisley hammer and trigger to finish the job. The Bisley grip frame has an elongated trigger slot and needs that Bisley hammer to make things look right. Your Hunter grip frame would appeal to many shooters, as well...... I installed a Hunter grip frame on my stainless .45. Carl
