Someone should take the names of the editors and reporters with their addresses and make flyers to be placed in the location of the highest crime rate area of the state. See how they like it.

Brother, does that ever chap my hide! If I was one of those unfortunate Iowans (?) I would be organizing with the other folks on that list to file a class-action suit against that paper and the Gov't agency that released that list.
This is yet another reason I'm very opposed to CCW permits. The whole thing is yet another sham to reverse the role of goverment and citizen (you know, servant vs. master).
This is all the more reason for us to work within our states to adopt Constitutional Carry as exists in four states within the nation at this point. There was an excellent article on Constitutional Carry in the latest edition of American Handgunner and it spelled out in very clear terms why the above "outing" of CCW holders is so onerous and dangerous.
For 20+ years I've known a good gentleman here in the People's Republic of Kalifornia who has carried WITHOUT a permit. This is largely because he's opposed to the whole idea of CCWs, but also because CCWs weren't even an option in many counties in California for decades as they were subject to the whims of the chief LEO/Sheriff. So even if one chose to kowtow to the ever-benevolent gov't, they wouldn't condescend to issue you permission to exercise your rights. What's a man to do is such instances? Go without protection? By the way, for those who do not know, California is SUPPOSED to be "shall issue" but that's not the way it's worked for 25+ years. Only because of multiple class-action suits in multiple counties and the work of many in the RKBA/open carry community is that starting to change.
Max.

That is one of the main reasons I havent gotten my CCW yet. I just flat dont want "people" to know who I am,and I havent done a damn thing wrong in my life and as far as Im concerned MY finger prints are By God MY fingerprints. Im not tin foil hat paranoid, but I like to live under the radar.
