Thanks:-) She loves her Hollydog. She has tried to ride her like a horse a few times... it never went well.
I've known some people who have Rottweiller's and they are a great breed.

It gladdens me to see this. Beautiful girls, and mighty dogs! A big, formidable dog is a wonderful thing for a child to have. My nephew, who lives with us, has Magoo, a Great Dane-Bloodhound mix, who is a laid-back dog, except for being protective of Michael. Even if I knew how to post pics here, I am not allowed to post pics of Michael on-line, and must respect that. Before Magoo grew up, PoBear, my primeval Husky-ish beast, by his very appearance, would have certainly made any predator wary of harming Michael, though PoBear is not a giant puppy-beast like Magoo.

Big dogs for little girls, a good idea ! My oldest nice grew up with a black lab, named Ladybug. My youngest niece and her two toddler girls girls have two mastiffs of some sort to protect them. My KC, a black lab now gone since T-day, tried to protect me during a protective service course I hosted and took. We had classroom stuff, then shooting with live fire, at cardboard, then went to airsoft/full contact. The first time during airsoft, that I was to be the "protectee",un-armed, she flew from my wifes side and put herself between me and the "threat" and all her fur went up and lots of white teeth came out ! She had to be restrained thru the rest of the course. The tier-one operator that ran the course has the highest respect for K-9's. If bad guys persist though, they will target the dog. Someone armed needs to be available to back up the dog. They are only the first line of defense. steve b

My daughter ended up with another buddy, a little baby boy named Jack (after my dad). Not so little for a baby coming in at 9 pounds on the nose:-)
I am very blessed.
