We run a 4-link that we finally got adjusted to where we want it. Trans is a TH400 with a 5,500 rpm Coan converter. On a good track, it'll hook 1.28 - 1.30s carrying the front tires past the 60 ft beam.

And I know what you mean....with a 5.43 gear the shift light comes on right as the front tires hit.

funny how fun a 10s ride is, I remember riding my zx11 thinking it needed a tune up, because it felt slow after a weekend race.

All I want anymore is to go a few rounds with out being eliminated while BSing with friends.

I'm with you. Win, lose, or break I still have a great time at the strip. Some folks take it too seriously though and that's when it becomes a real money pit. Hell, the minute drag racing causes stress or my blood pressure to rise, I'll hang it up.

I always "had" a thing for cars but never could afford to build anything, now after 25 years of working on them every stinking day there is no way I could do it.
I took my V65 to the track in Wentzville 1 time, Other than bikes being out numbered about 40 to 1 and 2 hour waits between passes I had a blast.
Best pass was a redlight 11.60 front wheel didnt firmly plant until mid 3rd gear.
Red lit against wheelie bared VMAX that was .02 from being perfect 10.40 dial in,so I would have lost anyway.
Reaction times were awesome first pass was a 30 then a 25 then a 08 and then red.
Everyone new it was coming including me,adreneline is a wicked drug.
