local shop just got 150 fine pieces from estate of fellow who passed on, no family, many fine lever guns, and handguns, etc. in their case was a new frontier 5.5" 44 special [ already got one ] and this 7 1/2" in .45 colt , made in 1978. cant tell for sure that it has ever been used, they are trying to find box and papers in all his stuff....but got it out the door for $750.00....resistance was futile, though i put up a token amount [then they came down from 795.00 ] pretty good price for this gun around here. the wood is a bit darker than my photos show it. they expect to get about 200 + more guns from his estate. this reminds me that i need to get out and shoot more. may get to try it out next weekend

I spoke to them about this one, decided to let it pass because I already have a 7.5" 3rd-Gen NF 45. I'm glad you got it, that was a great deal.

Great deal is putting it mildly Boge. Out here in CA they cost a whole lot more. I picked up a 1964/65 (waiting on a letter) Colt NF .357 5 1/2 blue/cc, it cost a pretty penny more than that. I'm still smilin' ear to ear.

Well no question about what will be in my shooting bag next time to the range. A picture of a New Frontier does it to me every time. I have the same gun and it's a great shooter. Not a bad deal considering the new ones are almost twice the price.

That is an incredible deal. The sixgun equivalent of the old widow lady with a corvette in the barn...
