I'm mostly a lurker here but really enjoy reading the posts, I was wondering if anyone has pics of 1/2 round 1/2 octagon barred revolvers? The reason I ask is that I found an old model 357 Ruger with a 1/2 & 1/2 barrel. It's just the frame, grip frame, cylinder, barrel, and ejector housing in the white. I should have asked some questions at the show where I picked it up but just didn't think about it at the time. I have the parts to put it together other than the screws. must have been somebodies project, don't know why it was not completed. I see quite a few custom Rugers but not with part octagon barrels and was curious. Thank you Brad

Not exactly what you requested, but this Milt Morrison custom Ruger has a half hexagon/half round barrel.

Thanks guys, Jeff that loooks a lot like what I've got to work with, the barrel is very similar in length and style.

I'd forgotten what a beautiful job Milt did on that sixgun.

I am not familiar with Milt, but that is one fine looking sixgun.

Milt Morrison of QPR......Although the link for QPR no longer works at the end, here's some info from the Quinn's themselves that I have kept hold of. John Taffin also mentions him in his books. Not sure what happened to QPR but enjoy the article. www.gunblast.com/ShootistQPR.htm

Milt Morrison is a wonderful gunsmith, and a good friend who sits on the Board of the Shootists. He's had some difficulties over the past few years, but hopefully he'll have his feet back under him soon and be back to making some fine custom guns. In fact, he's fixing to get started on a project for me.
