I was able to take a couple of deer this year. I decent kansas buck........I was able to make a solid hit at 50 yards with a decent rest. Missed after the excitement started on the second shot with the deer facing me and one more high through the back. The first shot took out the main artery under the spine and also the femoral artery in the rear. Deer went less than 50 yards and was dead in less than 30 seconds. Gun: 45 Colt customized by John Gallagher. 325 Grain LBT K in front of 24 grains of H-110 (safe in my gun). It is my biggest deer to date. I also took a doe with my encore 15" 50 cal muzzle loader. I cheated a little cause it has a scope! One shot and one deer down! All in all it was a good season. Can't wait until I go to Ohio this year! Good Hunting to All

Seems like it was a good year. I got my first handgun buck this year and can't wait to do it again. What velocity are you getting with that 45 load?
