That is pretty awesome. I have struggled with 'tooling' but it looks like you've mastered it.
Did you dye the background separately? Do you use anything to help casing the leather before tooling?
That's as good as I have seen. Thanks for sharing.

Leather looks great, but let's talk about the stocks in Fig. 1. My motto is "the spaltier, the better" and they are outstanding. Where did you commission them?

Thanks for compliments. Mark I dye the background by hand with a brush before staining and for carving I use an additive to the water, if I am just stamping a design then usually just water. The additive helps the knife glide through the leather.
Lee and Cucuy those grips were bought from "41 Magnum" either on this forum or the Ruger forum some time ago.
