After having a great, GREAT time with the guys and gals at CSA the last week in March, I headed north to Nebraska and the cold wind and fresh snow in the sandhills and plains there. The soft fresh snow made for excellent stalking and great scenery. This bull was shot at 56 yards with a FA .500 Wyoming Express. He ran about 50 yards and collapsed, dead. The 350 XTP penetrated both lungs, barely missed the heart, and exited. The freezers are full again!

That is an impressive animal. That is on my Bucket List for a lack of a better term. Out of curiosity, what outfitter did you use? I am assuming that you used an outfitter. Thanks

I used B&B Trophy Bison of Atkinson Ne., owned by my friends Wayne and Tim Braun on my 3 bison hunts.

Ken, you're just a stud! Well done my friend. When I see you again I'm gonna require a blow by blow version of the hunt. Might wanna test out that lil FA you got too!

The 350 XTP penetrated both lungs, barely missed the heart, and exited. Complete penetration on a bison using a .50 cal. 350gr jacketed bullet, so much for the need for really heavy hard cast bullets! Hoping to have the money this fall for just such a hunt my self, Just might try a 350gr Hard cast bullet in my .500Linebaugh.Thanks for the inspiration!
