I started with a convertible blackhawk 45 colt/45 acp,and I sold off the 45acp cylinder, thinned and added to the front sight, installed a Bowen rough country rear, had the cylinders reamed, and then took out a little more, fire lapped the barrel, installed a stainless bisley grip frame and a 26lb hammer spring,a knurled belt mountain base pin,a heavier base pin latch spring,a stainless ejector rod housing, stainless pins, bisley hammer and trigger, and reshaped the bisley grip frame and modified the grips to my liking. It has changed alot since it's beginning and now that I'm finally finished tell me what you think. It would look better with a blue ejector housing.

Well up unitl yesterday 2dogs I didn't know how much firelapping helped. With work restraints the best I had done was break the barrel in after lapping.Well yesterday my paw in law wanted to shoot a S&W model 25 he acquired so I loaded a few extra for me.My throats are .4545 and my barrel is .4515 and if I understand correctly I should be using .454 projectiles. The rounds loaded were .452.The temp 64*,RH 31%,wind was 17-25.I shot 6 rounds at 30 yards lasered and shot the best group this gun has ever shot.Iron sights shooting off a cow trough, with bags,I am excited.I have no doubt the one flier was me as I was wondering where all the holes were.Who knows with the right bullet and no wind what it may be capable of.

I wouldn't have sold the ACP cylinder... Nice pistol just the same.
