One of the dumbest things I've ever done was not buying the only Omnipotent I've ever seen. Sold last year on Gunbroker for something like $1300 - like new in box.

DISGUSTING. So much for their credibility. As one poster said, plastic's next. Heck, maybe they'll start offering kydex holsters for their single-actions. I thought the unfinished Rodeo was as low as they'd sink - I was wrong. I completely understand the marketing angle, but hold out hope that some manufactures would be satisfied by simply making the best.

The more I think about it the more it pisses me off that they would waste production resources on such a silly, useless fad gun when they are so many guns they've promised and haven't delivered.

My take on these kind of guns, starting with the Judge, is though not personally interested, I hope they sell like hotcakes. If they do it'll help keep a gun manufacturer in business. USFA, remember, in an AMERICAN company built here. Their SAs are tops, better than Colts? A lot of people say they are! I wish them well even if I'm not personally interested in that particular gun. Remember if we don't like a certain gun we don't have to buy one. Sell a batch of them USFA, I wish you well!!!! Frank

Maybe a good starting point for a five-shot .357 Maximum Buntline?

You've got to remember where this gun is coming from, and that is a very rich man who's hobby is trying to out do Colt. His wealth is almost incomprehensible for one individual. Fortunately, he focuses it on gun making. He'll foster new projects just for the fun of it. If it makes money, who cares? He has no union to deal with either, so rapid research, development and production take place from month to month. Donnely does not have the expertise in these guns that others of the gun writer and collector status have, but he likes them. As a big boy toy manufacturer, he is doing what we all would like to do I suppose. But, you're right to say he gets ahead of himself on thses ideas. Plus, there are no forgings used in his guns, only flat stock milled to spec. The book is out on which produces a stronger, superior product.
