just in case anyone here is interested in these sorts of revolvers... USFA just announced them over at their forum: forum.usfirearms.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=375USFA INTRODUCES NEW "USFA SHOT PISTOL" .410/45 COLT ALL STEEL, 6 SHOT (US PATENTS Pending)

Well, heretofore, I've not harbored a great deal of interest in the .410/.45 revolver iteration, though I recognize their value in certain situations. That being said, of all I've seen, this SA variant is the most interesting to me.
Perhaps USFA will have one of these on display at the NRA Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh at the end of April. My current plan is to attend the event, and if possible, I'd like to give this thing a closer look...

When you wonder why you can't get an Omnipotent or a Woodsman, just look at that picture and smile. I really wonder about USFA's market research, sometimes.

All I can say is thank God Colt reintroduced the New Frontier this year it will make it alot easier to ignore this thing.
This cant be a April Fools Joke because it's to early and that would be in bad taste.

Ummm...first question that occurs to me is, what in God's name do they think they're gonna patent? A stretched-frame SA 410? Um, BFR has been there, done that. Seriously, I can't imagine any possible new tech on this thing worthy of a patent.
If they're really smart they've put a paradox (partially rifled, partially smoothbore) barrel on it but even that is 19th century tech.
But the big problem is, a really stout 357Mag load will stomp any handgun 410 load into the dirt and leave it screaming for mama. And I can load snakeshot into a 357 if I need to...so somebody, please, explain to me what this whole trend is about?

My wife and I talk to /e-mail from 2o-60 people per day about our holsters for their guns. If I have heard it once, I have heard it a thousand times: "You don't have to aim."

Not that I would buy this thing, but I will believe USFA is making these guns when I actually see them on the market. As mentioned above: Has anybody EVER seen the Omnipotent or Woodsman that USFA announced with great fanfare?
USFA seems to be able to make weird variations of the standard, traditional single action, and not much else.

I REALLY hope this is an April Fools joke. Silly to waste production on such a goofy fad when there are so many good guns they could produce.

I'll say this - when I'm fishing in my belly boat, them Cottonmouths better look out!
I'll also give this to USFA, while they tease with things like the Omnipotent and this ... thing ... they at least tease with an actual prototype, as opposed to CAD drawings, while taking orders (ahem ... Messrs. Merwin and Hulbert ...)
