I picked-up the Charter Arms Bulldog you all talked me into buying last week (see the Double Action section). Took it to the range on Saturday and it shot great. 3- 4" high @ 15 yards and dead on at 30 using a 250 grain Keith over 5.0 of Green Dot. I was really surprised at the accuracy....at 30 yards I could consistently hit the bases of downed silhouettes (3 x 6"). -Lee www.singleactions.com

If I ever go back to carrying revolvers, that's the one I want to carry. I have an 80's 4 inch target model that shoots 1 inch groups at 25yrds with a 240swc over 6.5 of 231, but I really like the looks of that Pug. ;D

Lee, thanks for letting us know how it shoots. I read somewhere maybe John Taffin, that the newer .44 Specials are zeroed at the factory for the more common 200gr bullets. Frank

Frank....I've heard the same on 200s. Fortunately, mine shot right on at 30 yards with 250s. May try some 200s this weekend. I'll keep you posted. -Lee www.singleactions.com

My Charters: Target Bulldog 357... and my ported "gutless belt anchor" (heh heh heh..) Pug: The 357 really likes 38 HBWCs, and WW Silvertips are the round of choice for the Pug.

I have the Target patriot, bulldog, and pug. Great guns all of them. All of mine wear Pachmyer Copacs, have poured insert front sights, and black sharpied rears. One of the days I'll get them all bead blasted

Naw, Lee... Eagle Secret Service grips. I like the Eagles. Looks like they were a little off center there... I'm thinking about getting the Pug dura-koted and having a tritium front dovetailed in. (and maybe throwing the Pachmayrs on it and looking for a pathfinder to slip those SS grips on...)
