When did they change over from the screw type to the cross bolt type of cylinder bolt latch. Bill

Lee said from my serial number it was made in 1975 or 1976 ,I don't know when they changed to the cross bolt type. All I know is it is one accurate wheelgun with great fit and finish. I will be keeping my eyes open for other calibers and options.

Bill If you mean the cylinder base pin latch, IIRC from Lee's article and what ive seen the original design and early US arms had the cross latch and the later mossberg/AIGs at least for sure had the blackpowder type screw angling in from the front
