Whatever you paid, it was worth it. I've always enjoyed reading John Taffin's account of those guns. -Lee www.singleactions.comNossir, you are wrong! I paid nothing for the gun, and the friendship is priceless.

Boge, those are great pictures. That is a gun any sixgunner would be proud to own...what a great honor. How about you and Mr. Taffin trying to get all 7 Skeeter guns together and do a photo shoot and an article with details about each gun. I know all the guns were made to each owners tastes but have only read a few articles about them. I'd like to know the details for each one. THEY WERE ALTOGETHER ONCE AND PICTURES ARE ON PAGES 158 AND 242 OF "BIG BORE HANDGUNS" THAT WAS ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO AND THE LOGISTICS OF GETTING EVERYONE TOGETHER TODAY WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE. I DON'T TRAVEL, JOHN WOOTTERS OF TEXAS IS NOT UP TO TRAVELING AND BOB BAER CAN'T LEAVE HIS AILING WIFE. THE GUNS ARE IN TEXAS, IDAHO, NEW MEXICO, AND TENNESEE Mike

I shot that gun years ago. Very nice. In case no one noticed, it's not your run of the mill .44 special its one of the much less common 44. specials.

Boge, You will never have another moment in your life like that one, hold on to it. I think this would be the most opportune time for John to do a long article with lots of pictures on that gun and the rest of them. I would love to see all the living owners get together for a photo shoot and each contribute to the article with lots of pictures. It would sure beat the hell out of German helmets and 9m/m sub guns in American Handgunner. What do you think JT? Is it possible? BB

Bogequinn, I meant to ask what brand of pillow holster do you use for this gun? And one more thing did you e-mail Mike "Cuke" Venturino a picture of this beautiful 44 Very Special?

Bogequinn, I meant to ask what brand of pillow holster do you use for this gun? And one more thing did you e-mail Mike "Cuke" Venturino a picture of this beautiful 44 Very Special? The holster in the pic is a Dillon "Doc Holliday" rig. It's my favorite, perfect for the full-figured sixgunner! Dillon no longer carries it, but it was made by San Pedro Saddlery. www.gunblast.com/Dillon_Holliday.htmI am waiting on what looks like it will be a FINE chest rig from Mike Barranti. I can't educate EVERYONE! ;D
