I have hunted everything i could buy a tag for since I was 13 and trapped anything I could buy a big enough trap to catch.
Now since Im the ripe old age of 43 I feed birds,wont let the boys mess with or 3 resident pairs of doves,I throw corn out for the critters when we have snow storms and constantly try to preach to the boys about seeing and admiring the natural beauty of animals even tho we still hunt them.
We have a large pond that we fish in coinstantly and watch the ducks swim on,last winter we inherited an otter,these were endangerd in Missouri less than 20 years ago. i called game warden,he said to shoot it immediately if I wanted to keep fish in my pond and he would give me a prededation tag to posess the tanned skin.
Now we had a pair of muskrats in the pond,my favorite animal to trap because I always liked their fur, I had my suspicions but called warden again,told me that if I wanted to keep my pond to shoot them immediately because they burrow into the dams. So here i go from constantly preaching to my boys to admire natures beauty and NEVER kill anything that you cant eat or use to basically executing these things
