Chaz, I just sent payment off for a box of gripframes and grips from a buyer in TX. I think there is a Ruger brass SBH gripframe in the collection. If there is, I will let you know and what the price would be.
The box won't get here until sometime next week but once it does, I'll see what all is inside.

The word on the street is there will be no more Qualite brass grip frames. That's nothing new. They have been out of production for quite some time! Too bad, too....... I sure like the few I have........ Carl

As much as I hate to say it we are a very small group... Using our group buying power as incentive for a manufacturer to produce anything is a bad bet at best. With all the negative out of the way let's say that when we have a few bucks we aren't afraid to spend them.. Better buy those specialized single action parts that catch your eye every time they pop up...

What about getting together a group buy for brass GF's? Mihec comes to mind since they make brass molds for us in small quantities on castboolits. I have no doubt the quality would be better than anything made so far and the price could easily be kept in the $100 to $200 range considering #108 will get one of his molds along with all the extras.
Oh yea, and while we are at it, get him to make brass dragoon trigger guards for the Bearcat! I have seen a picture of one somewhere before.

PTL I have passed the apex in the curve for my want for brass grip frames.. Got a pretty good "homeboy brassie" "set and even an original or two. As I evolve into a collector I expect most of my brass GF interest in the future will be lettered originals. These days I seem to be more concerned with the availability of just old run of the mill Ruger Bisley grip frames for my customs..

Thanks to King6 I have a brass grip frame. I will be posting some pic's of the original and the new in a bit.
Question: should i get the frame fitted first or go ahead and send it off for stocks? Does it matter which order?
Thank you!

Get the frame fit to the gun first then send the gripframe off for the custom grips. Make sure we see pictures once it is all put together. It is always fun and a privelage to help someone get a project off the ground.
