My safe is in complete disorder.
I was thinking of contacting one of those companies that make custom cardboard boxes for small businesses, then I could neatly stack them in my safe.
But then figured I can't be the first person to have this problem.
Anybody have a better solution than boxes or else a good source for generic SAA sized boxes that don't cost an arm and a leg?
Thank you.

My gun safe has brackets on each side of the two main compartments. I just got some extra clips, then had the local glass company make me shelves out of 1/4" thick glass. Ended up with plenty of room, then added a light at the top. Looked pretty cool. You could look down and see the different levels of handguns.

I always went to Home Dept and had them cut me some plywood when I was reconfiguring. Any idea how much weight they hold vs wood? P.S. Thanks!!!

my solution cleaned up my safe, but it's awful and not recommended except in dire circumstances. I'm selling about 3 a month to keep afloat...

I found something simple and ugly that works well. Go to any place that sells home interior stuff. Look for a pot lid rack. They hold 5 to 6 handguns each in a really minimal amount of space. Not pretty - just white plastic covered wire - but they are all visible and easily accesible.

I built a cabinet with pull out drawers for my safe. Width is limited to that of the door so you can get it in there, but I get 6 large SA's per drawer and still have side room for long guns.

The GunBlast guys have a recommendation... Boge will be here soon.. Oh, yeah... www.gunblast.com/Pendleton.htmThat ain't cheap, but they are GREAT. I love my "Boge Quinn King Pistolero" model; it has 144 pistol spaces and a solid bottom shelf, and will actually store more like 175 sixguns. Plus, the interior is beautifully lit, and you can rotate any gun right to the front - no more moving a whole pile of guns to get to the one you wanted!

That's beautiful Boge.
I like the shorter barrels and so the MTM permanent storage box works well for me. Allows me to keep an "emergency" supply of appropriate ammo and/or magazines, speed loaders, etc. with the pistol. Consistent size helps in stacking, not using the original paper boxes helps preserve them (stored in protective LARGE metal cans). Some are in "use" as well. I should thin the "herd" but can't bring myself to do so.
