You guys may remember ages ago (last year) when I had my CCH and stainless .41 done by Harton. What you may not know is there is a little box in the safe containing all the parts to do a smiliar thing on a OM Single Six - in .32. I am hoping these blanks give me enough to do a set for each. I finally got off my duff and resawed my buckeye block yesterday. Ready to send off to be stabilized. I wiped them with alchohol for the pic.

Those blanks look kind of thin. I hope you left them thick enough for stabilizing. Some woods will warp when stabilized. I cut my blanks at least 5/8" thick for stabilizing. That way I can sand one side back flat enough for making grips.
I don't know how much experience you've had with stabilizing but some woods will warp more than others. I guess it just depends on the density of the wood.

That's good for you on those blanks. Unfortunately my stabilizer charges by the pound of finished stabilized product. With the amount of blanks I send to him for a run, I can't afford to be sanding off 1/4" of stabilized material to make each set of grips. ;D

Are you thinking about using the bottom portion to have the color change?

Are you thinking about using the bottom portion to have the color change? yessir, I am wanting to get a noticeable bit of the yellow into the grips when they get done.
