Feel-good story about MidwayUSA

Many of you are customers, as am I. Here's one for you:

Last Thursday at 6:24pm, according to UPS a package from Midway was left on my front door (as always). The problem was that I was home at the time, outside playing with the kids, and there was no brown truck in sight.

UPS doesn't want to hear from the receiver (even though this was clearly a problem with the locals). They wanted the shipper to file the claim. Emailed Midway, told my story, and waited a few hours. They don't know me from Adam's house cat and that I'm a fine upstanding citizen, so I was expecting Inquisition II. Emailed me back and all they asked was if I was sure there wasn't package hidden out there. That's it.

Today I received the replacement order at no charge.

I've never had a delivery misplaced but I have been very impressed with Midway. Plus Larry (CEO and Founder) emails me every time I order.


It is him that sends the email, right?

I've had problems (broken merchandise, wrong merchandise sent) twice with Midway USA orders, and they were both resolved immediately with one phone call. I'm pleased to order from them - seem like a great shop.

Im just a little partial I suppose since I live about 40 miles from the place but I have never been anything but completely satisfied in my dealings with them.

Midway and Brownell's are about the only two places I order from. Oh I forgot Dillon.

While #1 on my list is Mid South, Midway and Brownell's are close. They are so big. They have things that you just can't find anywhere else. Midway taught everyone how to ship quick.. Mid South and Brownell's were quick learners..

UPS what a joke . they left a BP rifle i ordered 1/2 mile down my driveway once and 2 pair of huntin boots at the same location AFTER A GOOD OL BUTT CHEWIN since.
Midway has always been a promt place to deal with

So much of UPS is the way stuff is shipped. If the shipper doesn't insure for actual value and require an adult signature for delivery it is hard to put the blame on UPS. It costs a few bucks extra to ship and can be a pain to be available to sign for a package but the alternative can be that your stuff is gone...
